Couples Therapy in Alpine, Utah
Rebuild Connection. Restore Trust. Rekindle Intimacy.
Even strong relationships can fall into cycles of distance, misunderstanding, or disconnection.
Couples therapy offers a structured space to slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and begin repairing the patterns that keep partners stuck.
I provide couples therapy in Alpine, Utah, serving clients throughout Utah County, Salt Lake County, and across the state of Utah through secure online sessions. My approach integrates relational psychotherapy, trauma-informed care, and specialized sex therapy to help couples rebuild trust, deepen emotional intimacy, and restore a healthy sexual connection.
This work is not about assigning blame. It is about understanding the deeper patterns that shape your relationship and learning how to move forward together with greater awareness, respect, and connection.

You May Be Seeking Couples Therapy If…
• You keep having the same arguments and can’t seem to resolve them
• Emotional or sexual intimacy has faded
• One partner wants more connection while the other withdraws
• You feel more like roommates than romantic partners
• Infidelity, secrecy, or betrayal has damaged trust
• Sexual desire or intimacy feels difficult, confusing, or mismatched
• Communication quickly turns defensive or reactive
• You’ve tried therapy before but still feel stuck in the same patterns
Many couples wait years before seeking support. Change becomes possible when both partners are willing to slow down and look honestly at what is happening between them.

My Approach to Couples Therapy
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with specialized training in sex therapy (AASECT certified) and extensive experience helping couples navigate intimacy challenges, relational trauma, and attachment-based conflict patterns.
My work with couples is compassionate, structured, and depth-oriented.
Rather than focusing only on surface communication skills, we explore the deeper emotional and relational patterns that shape how you interact with one another.
My approach integrates several evidence-based and depth-informed methods, including:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Helps partners understand the attachment dynamics driving conflict and withdrawal.
Sex Therapy (AASECT-Informed)
Addresses desire differences, sexual disconnection, performance anxiety, and healing after sexual trauma.
Somatic and Nervous System Regulation
Tools that help partners remain present and regulated during difficult conversations.
Attachment and Relational Pattern Work
Explores how early relational experiences influence the way partners pursue, withdraw, or defend.
Depth Psychology and Insight Work
Helping couples understand unconscious dynamics that influence attraction, conflict, and intimacy.
The goal is not simply to “communicate better,” but to create a relationship where both partners feel seen, respected, and emotionally safe.

Areas of Special Focus
Couples and relationship therapy may include work around:
• Desire differences and sexless relationships
• Sex therapy for couples
• Healing after infidelity or betrayal
• Communication breakdown and recurring conflict
• Emotional withdrawal and avoidance patterns
• Over-functioning and relational imbalance
• Sexual shame, purity culture, or intimacy anxiety
• Rebuilding passion and connection in long-term relationships
I work with couples of all genders and orientations and support both traditional and nontraditional relationship structures.

What to Expect in Couples Therapy
Couples sessions are interactive and dynamic.
At times we may explore early attachment patterns that shape how each of you approaches conflict or intimacy. At other times we focus on practicing new ways of speaking, listening, and repairing ruptures in real time.
When appropriate, we also address sexual intimacy openly and respectfully, helping couples move beyond avoidance or shame and into greater understanding and connection.
The work is direct, structured, and collaborative. Both partners are supported in taking responsibility for their part in the relationship dynamic.
