Couples Intensive in Alpine
Two-Day Couples Intensive for Deep Relationship Repair
Private Couples Intensive in Alpine, Utah
Some relationship challenges require more space and focus than a weekly therapy session can provide.
A couples intensive offers an immersive experience designed to help partners step out of repetitive conflict patterns and reconnect with greater clarity.
These two-day intensives combine relational psychotherapy, sex therapy, somatic regulation, and deeper insight work to help couples address the root dynamics shaping their relationship. I offer private couples intensives in Alpine, Utah. I serve couples from across the state of Utah who are ready for meaningful change.

Is a Couples Intensive the Right Fit?
A couples intensive is best suited for partners who:
• Are motivated to understand their relationship patterns more deeply
• Are willing to take responsibility for their own role in the relationship dynamic
• Want structured support for repairing communication, trust, or intimacy
• Prefer focused, immersive work rather than slower weekly therapy
• Are open to honest dialogue and meaningful change
Couples intensives may not be appropriate when:
• One partner is unwilling to participate in the process
• There is ongoing emotional or physical abuse
• Active addiction is present and untreated
• One partner has already decided to leave the relationship and is not open to exploration
If you are unsure whether a couples intensive is the right fit, we can discuss your situation during a brief consultation call.

When a Couples Intensive May Be Helpful
Couples intensives can be particularly effective when:
• You feel stuck in repeating cycles of conflict
• Trust has been damaged by secrecy or betrayal
• Emotional or sexual intimacy has faded
• Desire differences are creating ongoing tension
• You feel disconnected but still want to repair the relationship
• You want deeper clarity about the future of the partnership
• Weekly therapy feels too slow for the level of challenge you’re facing
The extended format allows us to work through layers of relational patterns and repair in a way that is often not possible within traditional weekly sessions.

My Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with specialized training in sex therapy (AASECT-informed) and extensive experience helping couples navigate attachment wounds, sexual disconnection, and long-standing relational conflict.
Couples intensives integrate several modalities, including:
Attachment and Emotionally Focused Therapy
Understanding the emotional patterns driving conflict and withdrawal.
Sex Therapy
Addressing desire differences, intimacy blocks, sexual shame, and rebuilding sexual connection.
Somatic and Nervous System Regulation
Helping partners stay present and regulated while discussing difficult material.
Relational Pattern Mapping
Identifying recurring dynamics that keep couples stuck.
Depth-Oriented Insight Work
Exploring unconscious relational dynamics that influence attraction, conflict, and intimacy. In addition to relational therapy, I may incorporate somatic awareness and energetic regulation practices drawn from Medical Qigong to support emotional clarity and nervous system balance.

What Happens During a Couples Intensive
The two-day format allows for deeper assessment, repair, and integration than is typically possible in weekly therapy sessions.
